각각 서로 다른 모양과 속성을 가진 캐릭터들이 여행을 떠난다. 모두는 행복한 여행을 할 수 있을까? 표준에 맞춰진 세상과 모두를 배려하는 세상을 대조해 보며 아름다운 공존을 상상해 보는 이야기. 설치 장소인 부산역의 공간적 성격을 반영하여 ‘이동’과 ‘교통’에 관한 갈등과 그 해결에 초점을 맞춰, 국제시장, 오륙도 등 부산의 여러 명소를 배경으로 이야기를 구성한다.

Characters in each unique shape, size, colour and behaviour go travelling. Is everyone able to enjoy their journey? ‘Universal Journeys’ simultaneously shows the world built for the norm, and the world that considers the needs of all its people. The juxtaposition of these different approaches allows the viewer to dream of a more cohesive future.

The work is influenced by Universal Design. ‘Universal Journeys’ highlights the issues in environmental design, sited in a Busan train station. The work consists of five chapters, each presenting a different setting. These backgrounds represent a different problem and solution for each character, drawing from five real locations within Busan City in South Korea: Gukje Market, Seomyeon Rotary, Busan Station, Oryukdo Islets, and Gamcheon Culture Village.
